More than 100 airlines have signed up for the Travelport Smartpoint Application (App) by Travelport Galileo. While speaking at the second edition of the ‘Student of the Year’ contest in New Delhi recently, Anil Parashar, President and CEO, InterGlobe Technology Quotient (ITQ) said that the product is a game changer in assisting airlines in driving additional revenue and the competition is still far away.“The response to the Smartpoint App has been phenomenal so far and we are in the continuous process of updating it. The travel trade is actively adopting it and more airlines are also coming forward to take it up,” Parashar stated.Parashar also informed that they intend to work with SKAL and CAPA in improving the skills of the youngsters. “We are committed to fill in the gap and churn out trained and quality staff. With the ‘Student of the Year’ contest we wish to create a platform for the students wherein they can showcase their mettle. We would like to expand this for travel industry by creating a talent pool which can benefit all. The travel industry is growing. Therefore the need of the hour is to have well qualified professionals serving them,” added Parashar.
