first_imgFirst off, I want to personally thank all Casey subscribers who purchased my book and helped make The Colder War a New York Times best -seller. To celebrate, I’m hosting a “New York Times Best Seller” Party on December 10 at the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel in Vancouver. All Casey subscribers are welcome to come and get your book signed while you enjoy some fine food and wine alongside my friends in the energy business. Rub elbows with the movers and shakers of the resource sector, such as Ian Telfer (founder and chairman of Goldcorp); US Secretary of Energy Spencer Abraham; hall of fame mining legend Jim O’Rourke; and Casey NexTen honoree Amir Adnani. All have confirmed they will be at the event; each will give a short talk on aspects of the Colder War regarding energy, gold, and your portfolio. Olivier Garret, president and CEO of Casey Research, will be at the event along with me; we look forward to seeing and having a nice glass of vino with all of you. The book would not have been such a success without you. Time: December 10, 2014, 4 p.m.-6 p.m. Location: Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel Room: Emerald Ballroom Cost: Nothing—wine and food are complimentary (and no, it’s not Croatian or Italian homemade wine—we’re bringing out the good stuff for this event!) Don’t forget to bring your copy of The Colder War to get it signed by Marin at the event.last_img
