The NCAA and the Power Five collectively spent more than $2 million last year to lobby Congress for a bill that would allow athletes to earn money from endorsements.The lobbyists got most of their wish list into a Republican-backed Senate bill last year. But Democrats are pushing for broader reforms, including guaranteed health care for athletes and revenue sharing. They see college sports reform as a racial and economic justice issue.last_img
